A psychological evaluation is a process of testing that uses a combination of techniques to help arrive at some hypotheses about a person’s behavior, personality and capabilities. Often this testing will allow the provider to formulate an official diagnosis and to develop a proper treatment plan that meets the clients needs and treatment goals.
Birchwood Psychological Center offers general psychological evaluations which include, but are not limited to, mental health assessments, intellectual functioning, and adult and juvenile psychological assessments.
What to expect during an evaluation?
- A comprehensive 1 ½ to 2 hour face to face assessment
- Screenings for mental health concerns
- A variety of evaluations (3 to 5 hours in length with breaks provided)
- A follow up meeting to discuss the assessment and the recommendations
Most insurance carriers cover psychological assessments. Please call Birchwood Psychological Center to verify if your current health insurance is accepted.
